This. Is gonna sell millions! Download on November 8. Jedi birds will launch from slingshots to take down Sith pigs! FYI, Rovio did get permission from Lucasfilms for the rights.
“This is the best Angry Birds game we’ve ever done,” says Peter Vesterbacka, CMO of Rovio.
Angry Birds Star Wars combines the classic gameplay and art style of Angry Birds with the legendary characters, designs, stories, and locales of the Star Wars saga. Gamers will take on the Empire in famous settings like Tatooine and the Death Star, but with the Angry Birds stable of characters playing the beloved Star Wars roles.

Rovio, I’d love an “Angry Birds – Indiana Jones” next!

So Rovio, you finally got off the Angry Birds fixation and decided to release a different game for once? Will Amazing Alex reach the same level of popularity of their previous blockbuster hit? Well, those crazy Angry Birds fans will jump all over this, but will the average mobile gamer fan buy this? Watch the video review below by TouchArcade and you’ll see it’s a fun game, but essentially it’s a clone of Incredible Machines, Casey’s Contraptions, et al. It doesn’t have the same addictive feel as Angry Birds. I do see the fun in it, and Rovio does perfect the physics/contraptions genre, and it does gets very challenging at the higher levels, but I’m left with a meh. I’ll pass till it drops from $0.99 to free in a few months.
Come on, Rovio, gimme something more creative! What are you doing with all the millions you got from the Angry Birds franchise?!?

So, is Angry Birds Space the same old thing? Thankfully no; it actually introduces some new mechanics of weightlessness / gravity into the play control, giving it a fresh new feel. The graphics have been improved, and the level designs are fun and interesting. The same addictive gameplay that everyone enjoys is back. Some say that this is the most entertaining of all the Angry Birds games!
Is it worth getting? Watch IGN’s review below and decide for yourself.
The iPhone version is $0.99, while iPad’s HD version is $2.99. Android’s is $0.99. PC fans can get a free, ad-supported version, or ad-free version for $5.95, Mac users are $4.99.
