Legend-Zelda-digitalAre you a Nintendo fan like me? Do you like anything Nintendo-character related? Mario? Kirby? Zelda? Link? Then take a look at this really well-made video of a paper Link walking through some iMac’s, Macbooks, iPads and an iPad Touch. This must have taken a huge amount of time and coordination/planning.

By the way, there’s a cool “Behind the Scenes” video of how they made this below.

nintendo-historyDid you grow up playing Nintendo games? NES, SNES, Gameboy, Nintendo 64, Gamecube… Nostalgic memories of my childhood and now my children get to experience what I did, as I’ve kept all my old systems for them to enjoy (did you? do they still work?). This video posted by retrogameaddict1 is really well made! If you’re a Nintendo fan, you’ll enjoy this creation by a computer graphics designer about Nintendo’s history of the consoles and handhelds.  You can see the creator Anthony Veloso is a Nintendo fan like me. By the way, try your hand at guessing all the games between 1:54 and 2:00.

super-mario-beads-2I grew up playing Nintendo games. NES, SNES, Nintendo 64… I have fond memories of my childhood whenever I see anything Nintendo-related. This video by lefvandebilder brings that warm nostalgia feeling. And you can see the creators are Nintendo fans like me. So much hard work in order to make this original animation. You guys are terrific!

By the way, the “Behind the Scenes” video below is almost as fun to watch – especially when they get to the time-lapsed portion of production. Definitely worth seeing!

Just posted a few days ago, and almost 900,000 views, this is funny to watch… Deer 1, Longboarder 0. I hope the deer was ok. Oh yeah, and the guy also.

OMG!! AMAZING!! Toronto Blue Jays Rajai Davis climbs the left field wall to rob New York Yankees Casey McGehee of a home run! No Blue Jay ever had scaled the 10-foot outfield wall at Rogers Centre/SkyDome and successfully catch a would-be home run into an out. Not Devon White, not Shawn Green, not Vernon Wells, all Gold Glovers!! (click here or the video link to the right). This is likely Davis’ career-defining game. Along with this incredible catch, he hit 2 doubles that drove in a career high 5 RBI’s. As the announcer says, this may be the Play of the Year!!

The wall at Rogers Center is 10 feet high. The 5-9 Davis, using the wall for a boost, timed his leap perfectly and reached over for the catch. Davis said, “It’s something that [hitting coach Dwayne Murphy] and I talked about earlier in the year. We talked about planting the leg, getting up over the wall. But it takes a perfect ball to be able to time that right, and then the ball coming down, it takes perfect timing. I think we were able to establish that.”

Are you a retro gamer? An NES fan? 8-bit music fan? Nintendo fan? A Lego fan? This Video of the Day is an incredible stop motion animation that must be seen! It took 1500 hours of meticulously moving Lego bricks and taking photos of them by Swedish band Rymdreglage. They pay tribute to vintage Nintendo games in true 8-bit style. These guys are amazing!!

Side note: These guys posted a new video recently, but this one is something that caught my eye much more than the newer one, so it is an older video. I am sad that I hadn’t seen this sooner.

I’M SAUWY!!

This Video of the Day is so funny that you will lol! Denver the Guilty Dog is an internet star! Am I possibly the only one that hasn’t seen this hilarious video yet? (Apparently, it was a 2011 phenomenon) No matter how many times that I watch this, it makes me smile…
