“OUCH! That hurts!! What the heck did I ever do to you??!” thinks Edwin Encarnacion, in today’s Jay Photo of the Day. Boston Red Sox starter Daniel Bard hits Encarnacion on the hand and Encarnacion had to leave the game, the X-rays and CT scan on EE’s right hand inconclusive.

How badly was Daniel Bard’s pitching? In just 1.2 innings, he allowed five runs on just one hit. He walked 6 batters, as well as hitting 2 batters (one of them being EE). The last time a pitcher that had done worse was way back in 1918.
