  • The Prestige – CDN$10.00 – Christian Bale & Hugh Jackman star in a movie directed by Christopher Nolan nominated for two Oscars about two magicians, revenge, and sabotage. [PG-13]
  • Goodfellas – CDN$10.00 – Nominated for six Oscars, this is a classic mafia movie directed by Martin Scorcese and a must-watch for Joe Pesci’s Oscar-winning role; “How am I funny? I mean, funny like I’m a clown? I make you laugh? I’m here to amuse you?” [R]
  • Drive (BD+DVD) – CDN$15.00 – A film about a mechanic that doubles as a stuntman and getaway driver; some say Ryan Gosling was snubbed an Oscar nom for his role. [R]
  • Easy A – CDN$9.99 – Yes! Emma Stone’s in it! Get it! It’s a high school comedy likened to John Hughes teen movies of the 80s. [PG-13]
  • Pan’s Labyrinth – CDN$9.99 – FYI this is not a kids movie (for some reason I thought it was), it’s a fantasy film for adults. This movie won three Oscars for its beautiful art direction and cinematography.  [R]
  • Michael Jackson: This Is It – CDN$9.99 – A documentary about the concert that was planned right before Jackson tragically passed away. [PG]
  • National Treasure 1 (BD+DVD) – CDN$10.00 – Nicholas Cage stars in this family fun movie for kids, so don’t expect much. It’s not as bad as the critics say. [PG]
  • National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets (BD+DVD) – CDN$10.00 – Meh, not as good as the first one. [PG]
  • 13 Assassins – CDN$9.99 – Takeshi Miike films are renowned for their violence and gore, but they all have been generally critically acclaimed. Be warned, the violence is extreme, but this may be his best movie yet. Read a few movie reviews by IMDB users here. [R]
